Put Something Interesting On Your Deck – An Aussie Grill

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

As with many grill companies, Aussie Grills were born from a metal fabrication shop that started operation in 1959. Metal Engineering Corporation (MECO), the shop in question, began making charcoal and electric grills in 1999. With their headquarters in Greeneville, Tenn., they’ve quickly become known in the market for their level of expertise in water smoker grills, as well as electric and charcoal grills.

Everyone has different needs, and grill makers try to define their niche, so keep these things in mind when you being shopping for a grill:

* Where will you be using the grill?

* What type of fuel do I feel inclined to use?

* How big or small should it be?

* Do I want it to fit in with existing dcor or try a new style?

* How much money do I have to spend?

* Do I just need a grill, or a grill with bells and whistles?

* Try to find a grill that lasts 10 years instead of 3 years

* Don’t focus on BTU’s, make sure everything makes sense as a complete unit.

George Foreman Knocks Out The Fat

Friday, January 30th, 2009

There are folks out there who believe that the ingredients are what make good barbecue, but barbecue purists would certainly take issue with that believe. Different grills can create a different flavor, even when the same seasonings are used. There are a few other things that contribute to the overall flavor of barbecue and one of the most important is the type of grill, or smoker, you’re using.

It takes experience, talent, and skill to make a delicious barbecue concoction that truly overwhelms your family and friends.

There are times when it’s not possible to grill outside. The weather is usually the culprit; it’s either raining or too darn cold to work outside. Even if you’re willing to brave the frigid temps, it’s not always possible to keep the grill hot enough. For grilled food lovers there are options, however. One such option is the year round, multi-season George Foreman grill.

The product was introduced way back in 1994, and 80 million units later, they can claim to be one of the most successfully marketed products in history. It’s such a simple concept and design and that simplicity helps simplify the lives of families around the world. Outdoor grills have always reduced the fat by letting it drip on through the cooking grate. This grill accomplishes the same thing with the use of channels. The result is a juicy, lean piece of meat.
